Good at being Sick

Lucy likes to be prepared.  When she is stuffed up this is how she travels.

She will even set you up if you need it too.

She even brings her companion box of tissues and a wastebasket onto her top bunk at night.

She says she wants to a be a nurse at a hospital like Grandma.
I told her that if can take care of herself so well I am sure she will do a great job taking care of patients.

SEVEN

Each birthday becomes more and more fun for me.  The anticipation for the big day grows with them.
Caleb had the entire days menu planned.

Breakfast: Corned beef hash and eggs
Lunch: Pizza
Dinner: Ham Rice and Broccoli Casserole
Dessert: Carmelitas (Half batch baked in a cake pan. We were saving Spierman cake since it is so labor intensive for the party.)

Activities he planned:  pool, park and family bike ride.

Presents from Mom and Dad: New Spiderman Costume and a skateboard.

Relaxing with the spiderman costume under his clothes.
 Two spidermen.

Other people wanted to join the fun.

He didn't make me call him birthday boy all day this year, but he enjoyed every second of his day.

Caleb we love you.  We always tease you about stealing our anniversary present, but we cannot think of a better gift for our marriage.

Tchaikovsky Spectacular “1812” with live cannons

My sister Jaime, invited us to this concert.  Andy and I try to make a concert every summer and have brought the kids to a few of their kids concerts.  Although this was a CSO concert, they did have kids activities and a chance to touch some instruments.

We sat way in the back so the Ravinia "SHHHHers" (they acutally have people walk around and shhh you) didn't bother us too much.  It drizzled a little, but the umbrellas made it even more fun.  The kids overall were well behaved and had a blast.
